About Us

Alisia Hankins, DNP, NNP-BC, IBCLC, is a dedicated Neonatal Nurse Practitioner and International Board Certified Lactation Consultant with over a decade of experience in neonatal care. Passionate about neonatal medicine and breastfeeding, she provides compassionate, high-quality care to vulnerable newborns and their families.

Alisia began her education at Tougaloo College, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology, before pursuing nursing at the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she completed her BSN and MSN. While gaining hands-on experience in top NICUs, she became a board-certified NNP, specializing in critical neonatal care. Alisia later earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice at the University of Mississippi Medical Center.

Alisia is an exceptionally trained lactation consultant. She has advanced knowledge regarding the specific needs of the mother baby dyad during the transitional period and the importance of successful breastfeeding for both mother and baby's health.
